Fiji Fashion Week co-ordinator Ellen Whippy-Knight says younger, up-and-coming teen designers were a standout feature of the annual event, now in its eleventh year.
She says the impact of fashion week over the years has brought economic and creative benefits not just to Fiji, but its Pacific neighbours.
"You can see it in the supply chain to the fashion designers. You can see it in the boutiques that have been created by the local fashion designers that never existed before."
"You can see it in the number of fashion designers coming out of the woodwork, people looking at fashion as a career."
